Choose energy efficient lights
A little light can make a big difference to your energy bill.
Flurotubes are using 35 watts each and they need to be maintained or replaced on a yearly basis.
In comparison, LEDs require a fraction of the energy and stay cool to the touch. An LED light consumes about .04 watt of electricity. A typical LED for signage uses about 0.45watt and when used with the right materials the colours and the effects are even better.
The building size of light boxes can be reduced to 125 mm instead of 600 mm to hide the hot spots caused by the light source.
LEDs are approximately twice the cost of incandescent lights but last much longer - the equivalent of 10 years of continuous indoor or outdoor use.
